Unique Souls' Philosophy: Failure is not an option!

 

Unique Souls is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that offers education, life skills training and assistance for individuals in need. The founder of Unique Souls, Uranda Akins, volunteered at an organization in the same industry for 8 years. Ms. Akins has an Associate of Applied science in Medical Assistance. Her Medical Assistance experience has given her the opportunity to work with a diverse group of individuals with different disabilities of all ages, and has  shown her how to become more patient and work with indivduals at a pace that is comfortable for them.

 

Unique Souls operates Monday-Friday from 4:30pm to 7:30pm and on Saturdays from 10:30am to 1:30pm. Each child is given one-on-one time.  Your child/childeren will receive a snack upon arrival and a hot nutritious meal before they depart.

 

Transportation is provided for those who are at least a half a mile away or farther. Those younger children without older sibilings that are in walking distance may be picked up or a trustworthy volunteer will safely walk with your child from home and back.

 

Unique Souls also provides services for the community. Unique Souls offers a food pantry and clothing room to those in need. These community services are offered Monday through Friday and the last Saturday of the month from 1:30pm to 3:30pm.
