Soulful Sundays - Why Are We Crowdfunding?

We are crowdfunding to be able to provide our services to more children and families in our community. We will use the funds raised to purchase a building and provide the necessary equipment we need as a way to restore ambition back into our youth.
According to sources including Reader’s Digest, Forbes Magazine and numerous studies, all children need to learn life skills such as cooking and sewing. These life skills are even more critical for inner city children facing circumstances because of substance abusing parents, poverty and crime, putting them at an even higher risk for a wide variety of negative outcomes. I who grew up in North St. Louis, and was one of those children. What makes me different, however, is I decided to do something about it.
For various reasons, some parents can’t be present, feed their children, afford a trustworthy babysitter, and teach them important life skills that Unique Souls offers, such as cooking and sewing, or have transportation for them to attend an afterschool program. Unique Souls solves all these problems - we are like secondary parents to each child who attends.
It still takes a village to raise a child!
